Are You Ready Campaign Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) campaign for preparing citizens for a multitude of hazards.  This includes everything from floods and fire to national security emergencies.  Chapters can be viewed individually by hazard.  The Are You Ready material is available at http://www.fema.gov/are you ready.

Collection of Animal Specific Guides The Humane Society of the United States has a collection of preparedness guides available for dealing with animals during a disaster.  These are available for pets, livestock, and horses.  The guides are available at http://www.hsus.org/disaster.

 

NOAA Weather Radio Information on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration National Weather Radios.  These radios can be set to automatically receive weather alerts and Emergency Alert Messages.  Many vendors offer these radios with a wide range of features and prices.  Okanogan County recommends weather radios with the SAME Technology.  The SAME Coding for Okanogan County is 053047.  Additional information, such and coverage and product information, can be viewed at http://www.nws.noaa.gov/nwr.
